Australian scientists have invented a next-generation solar panel capable of healing itself when damaged in space.
The station would capture the Sun's energy that never makes it all the way down to Earth. The energy would be converted into microwaves or lasers and be beamed back Earth to be used for our consumption.
China will test the idea of a space-based solar power station that would capture the sun’s energy that never makes it to the planet and use laser beams to send the energy back to Earth. NASA has abandoned this idea decades ago.
