Yosemite National Park's largest sequoia grove in the USA reopened to the public last Friday after crews completed a $40 million restoration project to protect the nearly 500 ancient trees.
The ruling was made on Thursday, after legal action was filed by a group of 25 children and youths with the support of Colombia-based rights organization Dejusticia.
In collaboration with local and international conservation groups, the Peruvian government has established Yaguas National Park to permanently protect millions of acres of pristine rainforest.
The Norwegian parliament pledged today that the government's public procurement policy will go deforestation-free.
