Nuclear tests forged "impossible" crystals

Scientists have discovered a strange new form of crystal that was forged in the world's first nuclear weapons test. Known as a "quasicrystal", the curious creation is arranged in an extremely rare atomic structure.

A secret to coherence in quantum computing - time crystals

The scientists observed the time quasicrystal and its transition to a superfluid time crystal at the Low Temperature Laboratory at Aalto University in Finland.
